Went outside with Cat at 10pm to see him off on his night patrol. Hoping that he’ll return before 1.30am. I suddenly noticed the hedgehog drinking from the strawberry planter water tray. Then Cat spotted him and went over for a sniff. Fortunately the hedgehog froze and Cat came to me when I called him. That gave the hedgehog the chance to dash off and go under the garage door. He probably lives in the garage which oddly enough is where I think Cat used to live as well but at the other end of the garage. Maybe they know each other.
Anyway crisis averted and Cat is now off on night patrol. Hopefully he’ll be back soon. Especially as it’s started to rain now.

Went into the garden to check if the hedgehog was still there and I found this.
This is definitely not a hedgehog. I was absolutely certain it was so it just shows how the brain can play tricks on us. I was even sure I could see the hedgehogs gleaming eyes, but that was probably just the garden lights reflected from the watering can.
